Heres a recent artwork I painted in photoshop. I used three brushes to paint this. a soft, a sharp, and a textured brush. I set the F keys to control the switching of these brushes. I started with a quick sketch of the vehicle and then added a base color layer to get the large values correct. I detailed on from there and designed the vehicle as I painted. The painting took about 22 hours in all.
wow... I feel like a huge burden has been taken off my back. I remember back 4 months ago when I started this artwork. I got half way into it then my tablet broke. I got my new tablet recently and now I have finished it. wow it feels great! 44 hours of work!!! And to think I was trying to get it done in 20. This was a great experience and I have learned so much from creating this artwork. It's my new favorite and I hope you like it too.

Hull Breach- City Concept Art

This started out as a one hour speed painting then I decided to finish it for hull-breach.com ( check it out ). Project Hull Breach is a up and coming Half Life 2 full conversion Mod. Many creative and talented people are working on it. I don't see how it's not going to rock.
I ended up spending nearly 11 hours of work on this artwork. I did things differently this time by using Painter IX for most of the painting. Normaly I would make custom brushes in photoshop for different brush strokes, but for this artwork I just used painters built in brushes. Sure theres some lighting problems but I don't care enough to spend more time to fix them. Opinions and suggestions are welcomed.
Thanks for viewing.
